The Plan is a pension plan which provides benefits for employees and former employees in the retail motor industry.

If you are a member of the Plan please remember to tell the Plan’s administrators if there are any changes to your personal details. This is especially important if you move house as we always need to know where to contact you.

It is worth noting that the Plan has been in operation for over 40 years and many employers have participated in the Plan over that period. If you were employed by a company that has withdrawn from the Plan you should have been notified of this and responsibility for providing your benefits will have been transferred to a third party (usually an insurance company or another pension scheme).

A statement which sets out the principles governing the Plan’s investment strategy is maintained by the Plan’s trustee, along with separate statements which detail investment principles for certain sections of the Plan.

The Plan is an industry-wide pension scheme which provides benefits for employees and former employees of a number of different employers across the retail motor industry.

Each participating employer has its own section of the Plan and all assets and liabilities relating to members employed by that employer are segregated within that section. For most practical purposes, an employer’s section of the Plan is treated as a separate pension scheme. In particular, the Plan’s trustee establishes an investment strategy for each section of the Plan according to the requirements of that section and its employer.
